From Puppy to Therapy Dog and Everything in Between!

Whether you're starting with a new puppy or working on specific behavioral goals, our experienced trainers are here to help your dog thrive. We are proud to offer a full range of training services to meet every need.

Group Classes (with pets and parents)

The AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) program certifies dogs that show good manners and basic obedience in real-life situations, promoting skills like socialization and command response. Achieving CGC certification enhances the bond between dog and owner. At The Dog House Pet Resort, we provide customized CGC training in a safe environment using positive reinforcement methods, catering to the specific needs of both puppies and adult dogs to prepare them for everyday situations and the CGC test.

The AKC Community Canine (CGCA)—the advanced level of the Canine Good Citizen program. This course helps dogs master polite, reliable behavior in real-world settings like parks, pet-friendly stores, and busy streets. Through structured group classes, public outings, and one-on-one coaching, we focus on building confidence, obedience, and calm responses to distractions. Whether you're aiming for the CGCA title or just want a well-mannered pup in public, our positive, practical approach will get you there.

AKC Canine Good Citizen Urban (CGCU) is an advanced certification that tests a dog’s obedience and behavior in busy, real-world environments like city streets, public transportation, and crowded areas. At The Dog House, we offer structured CGCU training to help dogs and their handlers prepare for the unique challenges of urban living. Our program focuses on confidence, leash manners, polite greetings, navigating through crowds, and remaining calm around distractions. Whether you're working toward certification or just want a well mannered city dog, our experienced trainers provide the tools and support you need to succeed in a real-world setting

AKC Trick Dog teaches dogs fun and impressive tricks while strengthening their bond with their owners. In order to join, we require dogs to have Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certification as a foundation for good behavior and basic obedience. We offer a supportive environment where dogs can learn new tricks, from basic to advanced, in a positive, rewarding atmosphere. By requiring CGC certification first, we ensure that every dog has the skills needed for focus and success, making trick training enjoyable and effective.
